Athlete Support
MASTERs Athlete Fellowship
The MASTERs Athlete Fellowship is aimed at aspiring Olympic hopefuls and elite athletes seeking support in their grappling journeys. Athlete fellows are supported in a variety of ways that support their goals on and off the mats. The fellowship program is split between distance and residential fellows.
Residential fellows are associated with partnered clubs and work closely on a regular basis. Distance fellows are athletes who belong to a non-partnered club.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with a limited number of slots.
Coaching and Mentoring
Athletes receive coaching and mentoring from MASTERs instructors and coaches.
Scouting and Statistical Analysis
All Fellows are guaranteed access to scouting and statistical analysis of their matches.
Career Support Off the Mats
We wish to ensure athletes continue to progress in their lives both on and off the mat. With that in mind, we seek to help athletes determine their career paths and prepare for their futures. We try to pair athletes with mentors and career guides.
Travel Support
Athletes are provided with varying levels of travel support to important tournaments at the domestic level, with high performers offered support at the international level.
Training Opportunities
Fellows are brought together once to twice a year for a week-long training camp featuring some of the best instructors and coaches in the United States.
Volunteering
Athletes are expected in return for the services they provide to support the mission of MASTERs or volunteer to support their communities.
