Leana Nelson is a judo black belt currently training at Top Game Martial Arts in Plainfield, CT. She began her judo journey at 13 and her competitive career in 2022. She is currently ranked #2 nationally in the Senior 57kg division. She is a 7x National Champion and a 2022 Junior World Team member. She has medalled multiple times in Senior Pan Am divisions. In addition to her commitment to judo, she works full-time at Lowes. Nelson works in collaboration with MASTERs dietician Janine Cotti to keep herself healthy and prepared to compete. Leana Nelson will join the MASTERs/High Noon crew in Tokyo for a summer 2026 training trip. She hopes to represent the United States in the 2028 Olympics and win a medal on home soil.
